Interim Head of Digital Marketing

Job Purpose:    

The purpose of this role is to lead the online digital marketing and retention teams and the planning and execution of the marketing plans from Sept 2021 through to Jan 2022. 

Role Responsibility

  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across digital channels including search, shopping, social, affiliates/partnerships, email, and push that drive new customer acquisition and retention to both our platform and mobile apps 

  • Optimise current channel strategies and identify any short-term improvements i.e., SEO paid search/shopping, programmatic, paid social, partnerships, emails 

  • Review CRM data & insights across our customer data-base, build insights into customer shopping behaviour, and leverage across campaigns  

  • Establish a data-driven approach to the optimisation of activity and spend and inform future activity 

  • Manage partner agencies scope, performance, and budget  

  • Work closely with the wider digital team to translate our strategy into a clear quarterly digital roadmap that helps us achieve our goals 

  • Use your deep experience to coach and up-skill your people, building a highly motivated, customer-focused team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in customer acquisition and retention strategies 

  • Strong performance channel experience including PPC, SEO, Paid Social, Affiliates, Programmatic 

  • Strong retention channel experience including segmentation, email, and push 

  • Experience in mobile app marketing 

  • Strong commercial skills 

  • Good judgment and decision-maker 

  • Strong communication and influencing skills 

  • To lead and coach a talented team of marketers 

  • Sense of humour 

Travel between business sites may be required at times. This role is flexible in terms of location and whilst there is no formal requirement to be office-based, attendance will be required at times as dictated by the needs of the project(s) or the function.
