Online Merchandiser

We are currently recruiting for an Online Merchandiser to join our Online team to support with planning and implementing a digital merchandise plan across all products, maximising sales, and ensuring the web experience meets the customer's highest standards.

Role Responsibility

  • As an Online Merchandiser, you will be responsible for the merchandising of all products including;
  1. Descriptions, images, content, and taxonomy
  2. Creating landing pages, category pages, and competition pages
  3. Testing new promotions, codes, and uploads
  • Work with the Marketing team on visual design/content and create landing pages for campaign and SEO purposes
  • Review and share trading performance with teams across the business including sales, conversion, average order value, and bounce rate across key areas of the website and app
  • Review and share market and competitor information
  • Upload new and existing product ranges in line with critical dates for both everyday and seasonal products. Ensuring product photography, assets, and content adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Working closely with the Buying, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to manage, plan and execute the trading activity across Cardfactory.co.uk.
  • Working closely with the Design, Marketing, Analytics, Fulfilment, Supply Chain, and Business Development teams to drive sales growth and define and implement a cross-sell / up-sell programme onsite.
  • Optimise customer journeys through to sales by;
  1.  nominating products or themes for email and marketing campaigns based on merchandising performance
  2. Review and optimisation of search results
  3. Customer reviews

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have proven skills and success in a merchandising role, ideally within a retail business
  • Have experience creating and implementing merchandising processes in a new team
  • Must have a good understanding of digital merchandising principles and consumer buying behaviour
  • Be commercially driven and sales orientated
  • Have good analytical and reporting skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of web analytics solutions (Google), Excel, and Powerpoint
  • An exceptional eye for detail (creative, content)
  • An interest in digital / eCommerce technology and digital trends
  • Be fun and a creative person
