Acquisition Manager

About the job

Come and join cardfactory’s Property Team as an Acquisition Manager!

We’re looking for a driven and commercially aware property professional to lead our store expansion strategy across the UK and Republic of Ireland. This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of our growth ambitions, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing new retail locations - from bustling high streets to major retail parks and shopping centres.

What you’ll do

You’ll be shaping and delivering a rolling five-year expansion plan, working independently to source new opportunities through market intelligence, agency networks, and landlord relationships. From conducting detailed site appraisals to leading lease negotiations, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring each new location is a good fit for our business.

As a member of our Property Board committee, you’ll help drive key investment decisions and collaborate closely with Legal, Construction, Retail Operations, and Finance teams to bring each site from concept to completion. You’ll also keep a close eye on market trends, competitor activity, and planning developments to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with significant experience in retail property acquisition or commercial real estate, ideally with RICS membership or similar. You’ll need a deep understanding of UK and Ireland property markets, lease structures, and planning policy, along with strong analytical skills to forecast performance and assess viability. Your legal knowledge, negotiation skills, and wide network of industry contacts will be essential, as will your ability to manage multiple projects at pace and find creative solutions when challenges arise.

If you’re ready to take ownership of a key strategic function and help shape the future of cardfactory’s property portfolio, we’d love to hear from you.
