Application Support Analyst
Job Introduction
cardfactory are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Application Support Analyst to join our growing IT team where you will focus on Supply Chain and Business Development.
In this role, you'll provide application support and get involved in some testing. You'll be part of a team that handles various Microsoft technologies in Supply Chain and Business Development.
You'll investigate and resolve complex application incidents and problems, implement functional application changes and releases aligned to the application roadmap and in accordance to agreed processes, and advise and educate the business on best practice use of the applications. In addition to this, you'll define and monitor the testing process to ensure everything is running smoothly and make future recommendations.
Based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with free parking and a flexible, hybrid way of working, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in our team. Colleagues are required to work in the office for a minimum of 1-2 days per week, with the expectation of additional attendance when needed.
Role Responsibility
- Provide technical knowledge for both project and BAU Incidents.
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for key business applications across the Card Factory Group
- Identify better operational working practises and contribute to and uphold best practice.
- Undertake technical problem management and root cause analysis.
- Ensure that all key systems are operational and where identified provide resolution or guidance to colleagues which drives the resolution of issues.
- Identify and suggest operational improvements.
- Support the delivery of key projects, collaborating with other colleagues and support partners as required.
- Provide technical expertise to other IT teams.
The Ideal Candidate
- Exposure to ERP Systems (SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Dynamics AX) and Data Transformation Platforms (Dell Boomi, SSIS, EDI).
- Experience with Ecommerce Platforms (Sales Force Commerce Cloud).
- Proficiency in Reporting Technologies (SSRS, Power BI).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Highly organized, able to plan and implement technical changes and multiple tasks concurrently.
- Good technical documentation skills.
- Adaptable to meet changing business needs.
- Ability to discuss complex technical issues with non-technical audiences.
- Experience in system testing standards and procedures for all testing cycles.
- Good communication skills and experience working with a wide range of stakeholders.
