Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategies, helping to define programmes and projects and ensuring effective planning and execution. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, navigate complex and ambiguous situations, and excel in requirement engineering to deliver impactful solutions.

Role Responsibility

  • Strategic Thinking & Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with company goals. Analyze market trends, identify opportunities for growth, and create detailed business plans.
  • Navigating Unknowns: Work effectively in uncertain environments, using your analytical skills to uncover insights and propose innovative solutions. Adapt quickly to changing circumstances and think on your feet.
  • Requirement Engineering: Conduct thorough requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication, manage expectations, and ensure alignment between business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • · Mapping and modelling of business processes and architecture at varying levels for both current and future state using Microsoft Visio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data and inputs ensuring robust and holistic analysis
  • Work with development and QA teams to define testing scenarios, use case and support manuals as well as conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) where required
  • Contribute to the existing Business Analysis community by sharing experience and best practices, working to enhance the delivery of business analysis across Card Factory as a whole
  • Support business case development pre-project through the identification and definition of both technical and non-technical options

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in business analysis, strategic planning, and requirement engineering. Proven track record of working with senior stakeholders.
  • Must be pro-active and a self-starter who is not afraid to jump into projects and build their understanding ‘on-the-go’.
  • Experience in leading and influencing stakeholders to successful outcomes
  • A BCS or IIBA business analysis certification is preferred
  • Demonstrable requirements engineering experience
  • Demonstrable experience mapping and modelling business processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
