Design Manager – 12 month fixed term contract - Studio 44 – cardfactory, Wakefield

We’re on the lookout for a brilliant Greeting Card Design Manager to join our buzzing in-house Design Studio and help shape the future of our card ranges.

Hybrid working: 2 days in 3 at home + free parking

What you’ll do

In this exciting role, you’ll lead a team of 6 passionate designers.  You’ll support with their objectives, development, and day-to-day needs as well as guiding them from initial ideas to final sign-off on collections that are fresh, fun, and fly off the shelves. 

You’ll be the glue that holds the creative process together, translating market, competitor, and trend insights into commercially relevant product ranges that truly connect with our customers. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, bringing bold ideas to life and keeping our offering ahead of the curve. You'll be diving into sales data to uncover what’s hot (and what’s not), helping us shape product ranges that fly off the shelves.

What you’ll need

Experience of managing a team is essential as is a sharp commercial eye and a solid understanding of the greeting card market. 

Communications skills and project management skills are also useful.

You should be comfortable navigating Mac OS and Microsoft Office, and most importantly, be ready to bring creativity, energy, and a touch of sparkle to everything you do.
