Digital & Email Designer
Job Introduction
We have a fantastic opportunity for a creative digital designer to join our newly formed Digital Experience team in the growing Digital Marketing department. We’re looking for someone who can originate and execute creative assets across digital channels that inspire our customers through our brand, purpose and product ranges. You’ll be working with our Online Graphic Designer and compliment UX & UI colleagues as well as our merchandising and marketing teams, we’re looking for a person who can wow us with a constant stream of creative ideas, with the ability to produce them adhering to best in class digital standards.
Role Responsibility
- Producing engaging, creative imagery and video for all digital channels (eCommerce websites, App’s, Social Media platforms, marketplaces, ads, emails)
- Design and create assets required for email, social, and website marketing campaigns.
- Utilize HTML/CSS to develop or modify responsive email and web templates and existing campaigns.
- Manage email campaigns end-to-end, from managing stakeholder's expectations, though briefing the production team to managing deployment
- Execute email campaigns with a heavy emphasis on customer segmentation, testing protocol, and technical execution.
- Perform QA and ensure identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devices.
- Troubleshoot HTML & CSS when issues arise.
- Generate reports and monitor performance in order to provide recommendations and deliver continuous improvements to the email systems
- Identify opportunities to build an automated email system/trigger/lifecycle driven email
- Research up-to-date and emerging technologies and developments in the design field.
- Capture and translate brand identities and tones across different brand websites and product pages
- Update and refresh the websites and App’s across seasons, creating eye catching promotions
- Work closely with departments spanning across eCommerce, Media, Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across channels
- Deliver consistently high standards of digital graphic design solutions to briefs. To provide clear status updates and communication to the briefers on all briefs making sure these are delivered within timeframes
- Maintain and develop close working relationships with the Online and Marketing teams
- Create jpg, gif, or flash banners for affiliate sites as required
- Organise and prioritise workflow efficiently
- Being agile, creating content quickly and keeping designs on brand
- Be a key team player through all project phases from concept through to the final handover of files and guidelines (brand and/or digital)
- Support and work with other members of the creative and project team to help deliver to successful outcomes
- Contribute ideas, set up and run, and regularly attend events and initiatives that inspire our team and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate
- Digital design degree or equivalent qualification
- Moderate experience of designing within a team
- A good understanding of digital design
- Graphic design/product design skills and extensive knowledge of Apple Mac and software related, including Adobe CC suite and later upgrades. Illustrator, Photoshop and In-design are essential and Sketch is essential.
- Previous retail e-commerce experience, preferable
- Strong graphic design skills
- Creative thinker
- Self-starter and highly self-motivated
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve results
- Ability to work within a fast paced environment demanding a flexible response to any challenges
- Team player that encourages creative thinking and supports risk taking, whilst complying with corporate guidelines
- Knowledge of the current market trends
