Exciting Opportunity for Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst!
Join our growing finance team as a Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst. You will work closely with the Head of Financial Planning and Reporting to ensure accurate financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the group. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at the Support Centre to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Located at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with a flexible, hybrid work model, colleagues are expected to work in the office for a minimum of two to three days per week, with additional attendance as required. Role Responsibility
- Assist in preparing the annual budget, twice-yearly reforecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Support the creation of monthly, half-yearly, and annual financial reports, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build and maintain strong cross-business relationships to provide financial insights
- Develop financial models, perform variance analysis, and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Analyse financial data to offer actionable insights for senior management and stakeholders
- Contribute to scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for decision-making
- Assist with business case evaluations, investment appraisals, and cost-benefit analyses
- Support financial integration of new business initiatives and acquisitions
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as needed
- Continuously improve reporting processes and systems for better efficiency and data quality
The Ideal Candidate
- Final stage/newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or strong QBE
- FP&A or management accounting experience, ideally in retail
- Proficient in financial modelling and analysis
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
