Head of Retail

Job Introduction

Card Factory is the UK’s leading specialist retailer of greetings cards and gifts with over one thousand stores across the UK and Ireland.  In 2020 we launched our exciting 5-year business strategy including our vision of becoming a true Omni-channel retailer.   

We are looking for someone equally enthusiastic about celebrations as we are to join us as a Head of Retail covering northern territories for the UK. 

About the Role  

As a Head of Retail, you’ll lead a team of Regional Managers to deliver the strategic, commercial, and operational plan and sales for your division. With a focus on customer service, delivering results on plan and in the budget, you’ll also be a role model for our leadership behaviours and Company values. 

As Head of Retail you’ll oversee 300-400 stores with a team of around 2,000 colleagues. 

Role Responsibility

  • Delivering commercial growth within the division’s existing store estate, with a focus on customer experience and colleague development; 

  • Contribute to the formulation of the retail strategy, and lead the team to operationalise this consistently across the business; 

  • Coach, motivate, and engage a large sales team to deliver the operational plan; 

  • Proactively manage talent, creating a high performance and development culture; 

  • Accountable for full audit compliance across the division, including H&S, loss prevention, people and pay.
