We are recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller for maternity cover.

The core objectives of the role are to lead the Finance team in producing financial and management reporting, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that there are robust controls in place over day to day accounting processes.

This is a fixed term contract from Mid November 2019 until 30 October 2020.

The day to day

• Oversee the production of Management Accounts and KPIs including variance analysis.
• Review the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
• Implement and maintain key controls appropriate for the business and finance processes.
• Support the year end audit.
• Work cross functionally to ensure compliance with tax and accounting rules
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across the business to achieve joint outcomes
• Ensure key controls are maintained and developed in line with changes and growth across the business and continuously seek to improve how we operate within the function

About You

• Able to lead and develop a high performing team;
• CIMA/ACCA qualified;
• Experience of managing a finance team, preferably in retail or manufacturing;
• Have strong analytical skills with great attention to detail;
• A flexible, practical team player, not afraid to get their hands dirty;
• Able to solve problems, adapt and get up to speed quickly;
• Have excellent time management skills, well-organised and able to work well under pressure to deliver on time;
• Ability to operate at all levels within the business;
