Job Introduction

Printcraft is part of Card Factory plc, a retailer with over 1000 stores nationwide. Printcraft manufactures the groups UK greetings cards, wrap and POS for stores. It is a forward-thinking business with the state of the art equipment operating a large site 24/7, we produce around ¼ billion items per annum.

The business is in an exciting phase of growth and investment to cement our success for the next number of years. It is a great time to join the company while we operate lithographic print and finishing equipment to supply high quality, volume products.

Scope and purpose of the role           

This role is dual role which includes packing flat sheet gift wrap into bags and folding inserts ready for the inserting machines. These are a Sontex bagging machine for the gift wrap and a stahl folder which folds all the inserts. - Full training will be given on 2 types of machines,

Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday 8am until 4pm but could be flexible to suit the right candidate.

Reporting to Finishing Supervisor

Role Responsibility

• Check quality off the products;
• To be efficient and run all machines to their optimum after training;
• Operating 2 machines ( Polar Stahl Folder and Sontex CS-Matic machine);
• Folding inserts and packaging gift wrap.

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be a team player and be able to work as part of a team,
• Must be flexible as this is a dual role,
• Able to work under pressure,
• Have good communication/people skills as you will be working/interacting with a wide range of people,
• Most be willing to learn.
