Payroll Co-Ordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Payroll team. In this role, the Payroll Co-Ordinator will support the Payroll Team Leaders to ensure that all payrolls within cardfactory are processed in an accurate and timely manner. 

We operate smart working principles at cardfactory, combining some days working from our support centre in Wakefield (1-2 a week) with some days working remotely from home.

Role Responsibility

  • Assisting with processing of the Group payrolls accurately and on time, aswell as assisting with processing of New Starters, Change of Details, Leavers, Statutory and absence records.
  • Reviewing employee records and ensuring that all employees are set up on the correct contract type, hours, pay rate and job title.
  • Ensuring data accuracy of employee records on a monthly basis, to maintain, check and update in line with Company standards, contractual information & legislation.
  • Supporting the Payroll Team Leaders in ensuring the timely coordination of all payrolls including calculations, reports and month end processes.
  • Supporting the Payroll Team Leaders in ensuring that all monthly payrolls are reconciled and appropriate files for Pension Auto-enrolment and RTI are submitted in a timely manner
  • Providing support to the Payroll Administrator on all aspects of the Payroll Administrator’s duties when required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within a payroll processing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills and an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software / systems
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, especially in VLOOKUP’s & Pivot Tables
  • Able to work within a team and to adopt a coaching approach enabling others to enhance their skills both virtually and office based
  • A strong multi-tasker and able to manage several tasks simultaneously working proactively and with minimal supervision.
