Store Development Project Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Store Development Project Manager to lead the end to end delivery of strategic and tactical initiatives requiring physical alterations to the retail store portfolio and external partnerships.

The Store Development Project Manager will be responsible for defining, planning and designing programmes and proactively monitoring its progress and governance, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.

They will also be accountable for making definitive decisions and giving clear direction to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, along with pro-atively representing the Property function in cross functional strategic and working group meetings, influencing key stakeholders and creating new programmes aligned to the strategic objectives of the organisation. They will also be responsible for preparing progress reports and tracking expenditure on projects against pre-set budgets.

Role Responsibility

  • Appraise project requirements, develop appropriate programmes and manage projects to a successful completion
  • Lead or pro-actively attend meetings as the Property function’s workstream representive
  • Managing internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of programmes
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of the parties involved in the programme
  • Preparing interim reports and updating key stakeholders on progress and expenditure
  • Developing strong relationships with team members, stakeholders and suppliers
  • Resolving issues with management and stakeholders
  • Confirming successful delivery at the programme’s completion
  • Evaluate project performamnce
  • Identify and record learnings which would improve future projects

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience within a similar store development role. 
  • Experience of project management within property function. 
  • Proficient in Miscrosoft Office programmes EG Outlook Excel MS Projects
  • Analytical with a high level of accuracy and strong presentational skills
  • A positive, can-do approach and aility to work collaboratively in both a formal and flexible team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence external/internal teams
  • Willingness and ability to make decisions within a fast passed environment
