Job Introduction

We are now looking to strengthen our existing Business Development team and are recruiting for a Merchandiser.  

Main Purpose of role is to optimize profit and sales through creating effective merchandising plans across every day and seasonal within our business development team

Role Responsibility

• Build merchandising plans / modules for all business development partners looking at sales, space and customer trends;
• Present market reviews, trends, data analysis & range builds to internal and external stakeholders;
• Identify opportunities to fill range gaps and inject newness, ensuring commercial viability as well as taking into consideration stock levels and sku rationalisation;
• Maximising selling by analysing sales reports and taking action accordingly;  
• Understand the competition and media innovation trends to maximise in-store solutions;
• Work alongside teams to come up with a plan for optimisation and improvements space required;

The Ideal Candidate

• Ensure excellent relationships with key stakeholders within the Business Development Team and wider businesses;
• Be able to work autonomously;
• Previous experience of planning merchandising is essential;
• Good attention to detail;
• Have excellent communication skills both telephone, written, verbal with the ability to communicate at different levels;
• Analytical skills are essential;
• Excellent Excel skills are essential.

This role may involve out of hours and weekend working to support the business needs and the ideal candidate will hold a full clean driving license as travel between group sites will be required.
