Artworker

About the job

Artworker £31,000 + benefits

Hybrid working: 2 days onsite (Wakefield)

We’re on the hunt for a brilliantly talented Artworker to join the Creative Services team at cardfactory. If you love bringing a brand to life — whether that’s giving existing assets a glow‑up or creating shiny new ones for both online and offline channels — then you might just be our kind of person.

You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with our Senior Creative Designer and Creative Artworker, to play a key role in producing high‑quality, ready‑to‑go artwork supporting our brand, store communications, and colleague engagement.

If you’re an Artworker with a keen eye for detail, a head full of ideas, and a passion for crafting channel‑ready visuals then we want to hear from you! We’d like you to have a positive and energetic ‘can do’ attitude, and be a real collaborative team player

We operate smart working principles at cardfactory, combining some days working from our support centre in Wakefield (2 days per week min) with some days working remotely from home.

What you’ll do:

You will report directly to the Senior Creative Designer and be responsible for creating a wide range of internal and external brand assets and communications. The role involves working closely with colleagues across the business on artwork briefs, as well as collaborating with our external creative agencies to further develop print and digital ready files and bring them to life for our customers. Your work will span in‑store POS, marketing campaigns, colleague communications, packaging, and other creative outputs.

You will handle imagery and copy with strong attention to detail while producing high‑quality, channel‑ready artwork across multiple media formats. Maintaining the integrity of our brand guidelines throughout all finished work is essential. The role requires the ability to manage several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.

You will also be responsible for technically checking artwork, ensuring it is suitable for final production by considering cutter guides, colour proofing, print preparation, and supplier specifications. All jobs must be stored and filed correctly on the network in line with company guidelines.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience working on and understanding creative designs for retail & digital channels
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong time management skills to ensure delivery
  • Previous experience of print processes and their variants.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
